The Chieftains' ninth studio album, *Boil the Breakfast Early*, was released in 1980 on Columbia Records. The Irish traditional music ensemble, led by Paddy Moloney, had by this point become the most recognized ambassadors of Celtic music worldwide. The album features their characteristic blend of uilleann pipes, fiddle, tin whistle, and bodhrán, drawing on traditional Irish reels, jigs, and airs. It includes the well-known "The Morning Dew" and continues the group's long-running series of recordings documenting the depth of the Irish folk tradition.
