The Chieftains 5 is a 1975 release from the celebrated Irish traditional music ensemble The Chieftains, featuring uilleann pipes, fiddle, harp, tin whistle, and bodhrán in their characteristically clean, precise arrangements of traditional Irish tunes and airs. The album includes "The Morning Dew" and a suite of reels and jigs that became closely associated with the group during this period of their career. Originally released on Island Records, this is the Canadian pressing of the fifth entry in their long-running numbered album series.
