The Clancy Brothers were an Irish folk group from County Tipperary who became hugely influential in bringing traditional Irish music to American audiences during the 1960s folk revival. Show Me the Way, released in 1972 on Audio Fidelity, is a late-period entry in their catalog featuring the group performing traditional Irish songs and ballads in their characteristic robust, unadorned style. By this point Tommy Makem had departed, and the record reflects the trio continuing on with their familiar blend of drinking songs, rebel songs, and folk standards.
