The Duals were an American instrumental rock duo who released "Stick Shift" in 1961 on Sue Records. The album is built around their hit single of the same name, a driving guitar-and-organ instrumental that became a minor chart success and fit neatly into the early 1960s craze for car-themed rock and roll. The rest of the record follows a similar formula of uptempo instrumentals with a lean, stripped-down sound typical of the era.
