Close Up The Honky Tonks is a 1974 double-album compilation from The Flying Burrito Brothers, released on A&M Records, pulling together tracks from their late 1960s and early 1970s run as one of the founding acts of country rock. The collection draws heavily from their first two records, The Gilded Palace of Sin and Burrito Deluxe, featuring Gram Parsons-era material including "Sin City" and "Hot Burrito #1." It serves as a solid overview of the band's blend of traditional country, soul, and rock during their most influential period.
