The Fureys & Davey Arthur were an Irish folk group formed around the Furey brothers — Eddie, Finbar, George, and Paul — along with guitarist Davey Arthur, known for blending traditional Irish music with accessible, melodic songwriting. Released in 1987, *The Fureys Finest* is a compilation drawing from the group's catalog of Irish folk and ballad recordings. The collection includes some of their best-known material, such as "When You Were Sweet Sixteen" and "The Green Fields of France," both of which brought the group significant popularity in Ireland and the UK during the late 1970s and 1980s.
