The Hollies' 1972 album "Distant Light" is a British pop rock record from the Manchester group known for their polished harmonies and melodic sensibility. The album is perhaps best known for containing "Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress)," which became one of their biggest hits and marked a harder, more driving sound than much of their earlier work. The record also includes "Hey Willy" and a mix of softer pop material that reflects the band's versatility during this period.
