The New Seekers were a British pop vocal group formed in 1969 as a successor act to The Seekers. This 1971 album takes its title from their internationally recognized hit "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing (In Perfect Harmony)," which originated as the melody from a Coca-Cola television advertisement and became a massive chart success on both sides of the Atlantic. The record is a polished soft pop offering built around the group's smooth harmonies and accessible, radio-friendly songwriting typical of the early 1970s.
