Their Satanic Majesties Request is the Rolling Stones' 1967 psychedelic rock album, released on London Records as the band's response to the era's prevailing experimental and orchestral pop trends. Recorded during a turbulent period that included drug charges against several band members, the album moves away from their blues-rock roots toward layered studio experimentation, unusual time signatures, and lysergic textures. Standout tracks include "She's a Rainbow" and "2000 Light Years from Home," both of which capture the record's dreamlike, space-influenced character.
