Here's something you don't see every day – a Czechoslovakian pressing of Traditional Jazz Studio's tribute to Joe "King" Oliver on the legendary Supraphon label. While the exact date remains a mystery, this release likely emerged during the 1960s or 70s when Eastern European jazz appreciation was flourishing behind the Iron Curtain. Supraphon, based in Prague, had an remarkable ear for jazz and often pressed recordings that captured the authentic spirit of early New Orleans masters.
