Triumph – Thunder Seven (1984, Europe Vinyl LP) — MCA 251 631-1
Released in 1984, Thunder Seven is Triumph’s seventh studio album and one of their most ambitious concept works. This European pressing on MCA Records features the full 10-track sequence, blending arena rock anthems with progressive and philosophical themes. Produced by Triumph and Eddie Kramer (Led Zeppelin, Hendrix), the album was recorded at Metalworks Studios in Toronto and mastered by Bob Ludwig in New York.
Thematically split between hard rock tracks and introspective compositions, Thunder Seven explores time, duality, and human evolution — reflected in its futuristic artwork and lyrical depth. Highlights include the hit “Follow Your Heart,” the instrumental “Midsummer’s Daydream,” and the multi-part suite “Time Canon” through “Killing Time.”
