Twisted Sister's 1984 major label breakthrough on Atlantic Records, Stay Hungry is the New York glam metal band's fourth studio album and the one that brought them mainstream attention. The record is driven by arena-ready hard rock with heavy guitar riffs and Dee Snider's ragged vocals, sitting comfortably in the glam metal sound that dominated the mid-eighties. "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock" became the album's signature tracks, both receiving heavy MTV rotation and helping define the era's anthemic rock style.
