UB40's Labour of Love, released in 1983, is a covers album from the Birmingham-based reggae group, featuring their laid-back, pop-inflected takes on classic reggae and rocksteady songs from the 1960s and 70s. The album was a major commercial success and includes their widely recognized version of "Red Red Wine," originally written by Neil Diamond, as well as covers of songs by Jimmy Cliff, Eric Donaldson, and others. It sits comfortably in the pop-reggae crossover space that defined much of UB40's sound during their peak years.
