OU812 (pronounced "Oh You Ate One Too") is the eighth studio album by American hard rock band Van Halen, released in 1988, and the second to feature vocalist Sammy Hagar. Van Halen started work on the album in September 1987 and completed it in April 1988, just one month before its release.

Released in May 1988, OU812 is Van Halen’s eighth studio album and the second to feature Sammy Hagar as lead vocalist. Recorded at 5150 Studios in California and produced by Donn Landee and the band, the album showcases a shift toward more polished hard rock and melodic experimentation, blending synth textures with guitar-driven anthems.

The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and includes the hit singles “When It’s Love,” “Finish What Ya Started,” and “Black and Blue.” The title OU812 was a tongue-in-cheek response to David Lee Roth’s solo album Eat ’Em and Smile, and reflects the band’s playful attitude during the Hagar era.
