Canadian stereo pressing of Vassar by The Vassar Clements Band, released in 1980. A genre-blending album featuring original compositions and reinterpretations spanning country, bluegrass, and jazz fusion. Includes “Uptown and Country,” “Space Grass,” and “There’ll Be No Teardrops Tonight.” Recorded at Tree Studios in Nashville under the direction of Buddy Killen. Personnel includes Vassar Clements (fiddle, vocals), Toulouse Clements (drums), John Chappell and Byron Clements (guitars), Conway Mullett (bass), Jay Patton (sax), Jackie Garnett (keyboards), and Tom Roast (piano). Harmony vocals by T.G. Sheppard and Marlin Littlesfield on “Little Woman.”
