Waylon Jennings' 1974 RCA Victor release "This Time" is a country album that captures him moving deeper into the outlaw country sound he helped define. The title track reached number one on the country charts, and the album also features "Louisiana Women," showcasing his signature gruff vocals and stripped-down, honky-tonk influenced style. Produced by Waylon himself alongside Ken Mansfield, it reflects his push for greater creative control during a pivotal period in his career.
