Willie Nelson and composer Dave Grusin contributed to this 1979 soundtrack album for the Sydney Pollack film starring Robert Redford and Jane Fonda. Nelson handles the country vocal tracks while Grusin provides the orchestral score, making for a split between rustic country and cinematic instrumental music. Nelson's version of "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys" appears here and became one of his more recognized recordings from this period.
