Wings' "Band on the Run" was released in 1973, marking Paul McCartney's post-Beatles band at something of a creative peak. The album blends rock, pop, and orchestral elements across tracks like the title suite "Band on the Run" and "Jet," both of which became major hits. Recorded largely in Lagos, Nigeria under difficult circumstances, it stands as one of the more acclaimed rock records of the early seventies.
